TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

Senior Lecturer ( 2009-2014)- in The Center for the Study of Languages, I have taught all three levels of Spanish language courses as well as Practical Spanish Phonetics and Language teaching Methodology course for graduate students.
Coordinator for first year language classes: Coordinated 4 or 5 lecturers teaching 8 first year Spanish classes (SPAN 101, 102 and 105) , organize course and wrote syllabi for all three courses. With input from other lecturers I created exams and then wrote them in online program. (July 2009 to July 2013)
Coordinator for Spanish Placement Test in CSL at Rice: Revised exam and organized and coordinated Spanish instructors to grade about 300 exams. Made sure all exams were graded by deadlines. (2006 to 2012)
Coordinator for second year Spanish Language courses. Coordinate eight second year classes and 5 lecturers. Wrote syllabi and exams for SPAN 201 and 202. Met with all lecturers for feedback and suggestions to improve course. Helped grade placement exams. (Aug 2004 to July 2006 )
Educational Testing Service: Graded College Board Advance Placement Exams in Spanish
Language for one week each summer for 7 years 2003-2013.
Trained by ETS to grade OPIc (online oral proficiency interviews by computer ) I have graded OPIc in English online for several years when they were available. (April 2006- present )

In 2007 I produced two pronunciation podcasts and created a webpage for Spanish Phonetics class. In 2009 I created webpage and syllabus for SPAN 105 (intensive first year Spanish language), 2010 (along with other colleagues) we created a program to implement student language e-portfolios for the Center for Study of Languages at Rice. In 2011 I created resource webpage containing communicative activities to be used in first and second year Spanish (4th hour resources).
